Pescatoria is a showy genus of moderate-large sized plants that produce large flowers on single stems from within fan-shaped growths. Pescatorias are related to Cochleanthes and are easy to grow and bloom. They enjoy moderately bright light, warm-intermediate temperatures, good humidity and air movement. They grow well in plastic pots with moss or a seedling bark (Paph) mix. According to Dr. Robert Dressler, there are two species of Pescatoria found in Panama.

Pescatoria

Pescatoria cerina 'Select' - (Panama) Showy species with large white flowers with a yellow lip. This clone has exceptional flowers! Attractive fan-shaped foliage. Grow warm with moderate light, evenly moist.

Pescatoria dayana - (Panama) We were amazed when these bloomed. Large paper-white blooms with deep pink purple splashes on petals and sepals with exotic purple lip. WOW! Attractive fan-shaped foliage. Grow warm with moderate light, evenly moist.
