Pescatoria is a showy genus of moderate-large sized plants that produce large flowers on single stems from within fan-shaped growths. Pescatorias are related to Cochleanthes and are easy to grow and bloom. They enjoy moderately bright light, warm-intermediate temperatures, good humidity and air movement. They grow well in plastic pots with moss or a seedling bark (Paph) mix. According to Dr. Robert Dressler, there are two species of Pescatoria found in Panama.
