Prosthechea

Prosthechea is a genus of small-moderately sized plants that produce fragrant flowers on upright racemes. Prosthecheas are related to Encyclias and are easy to grow and bloom. They enjoy moderately bright light, warm-intermediate temperatures, good humidity and air movement. They grow well in plastic pots with moss or a seedling bark (Paph) mix. According to Dr. Robert Dressler, there are 20 species of Prosthechea found in Panama.
