Ada alleni - (Panama) Attractive Brassia
relative with spider-like yellow/orange flowers. Grow intermediate temperature,
moderately bright, evenly moist. Easy.
Aspasia epidendroides - (Panama) Compact-growing aatractive Oncidium relative. Sepals
greenish, banded with lavender. Petals lavender, lip white with purple markings.
Grow warm-intermediate, moderately bright light.
Aspasia principissa - (Panama) Compact-growing aatractive Oncidium relative with tn flowers striped with purple.
Grow warm-intermediate, moderately bright light.
Brassavola acaulis - (Panama) Spectacular species with large white fragrant flowers,
with long succulent terete leaves. These have a heavy lemon fragrance at night. The May 2000 issue of Orchids (AOS Bulletin) featured an article on this species by Eric Christiansen. The
exceptionally large flowered specimen in the article was purchased from
MTF and was erroneously identified as originating in Guatemala. Grow intermediate,
moderately bright-bright. Easy!
Brassavola nodosa - (Panama) Large-flowered form of this easy and popular
species with fragrant white blooms. Grow warm-intermediate, with bright light.
Brassia arcuigera
- (Panama) One of our favorite Brassias. Very large green spider-like
flowers turn orange with age. Grow warm-intermediate, moderately bright.
Easy!
Brassia jipijapensis 'Woodstream' CHM/AOS (Ecuador) - Truly impressive and
rare species producing up to 40 medium-sized flowers per inflorescence.
Flowers are greenish-yellow and change to orange at maturity. Should be
useful in breeding!
Cattleya patinii - (Panama) Heads of 5-7 gorgeous hot-pink-lavendar blooms.
Grow warm-intermediate, with moderately bright light.
Cochleanthes aromatica - (Colombia) Highly fragrant and exotic green flowers with white red-marked lip emerge from attractive fan-shaped growths. Easy! Grow warm, moderate light, evenly moist. Color Picture in Dressler's Field Guide.
Cochleanthes discolor - (Colombia) A perrenial favorite, growing in warm to intermediate
conditions, moderate light, evenly moist. This compact-growing species produces 1.5" white flowers with blue lips.
Strong fragrance.
Cycnoches warscewiczianum - (Panama) Whoa! Like green fragrant flowers!?!...This species is for you.
5+" blooms are held on pendent inflorescences extending from large deciduous pseudobulbs.
Grow warm in moderately bright-bright light, with a pronounced dry period once the bulbs
are made up, similar to Catasetums.
Cycnoches egertonianum - (Panama) Similar to the above with smaller cream-white fragrant flowers, 8-9 per inflorescence.

Dendrochilum cobbianum - (Taiwan) Beautiful golden chains of blooms from new growths on a compact-growing plant.

Dichaea dammeriana - (Panama) Pendent leafy stems make attractive tresses flowing from the cork slab mounts.
One inch highly fragrant flowers appear sequentially at end of stem. Grow intermediate, moderate-moderately bright.
Cuitlauzinia pendula - (Mexico) Related to Odontoglossum, produces beautiful pendent display (see image in Photo Gallery)
of large 2-3" cream flowers, flushed with pink. Grow warm-intermediate, moderately bright, brief rest in winter.
Dressleria dilecta - (Panama) Charming compact growing Catasetum relative
produces upright inflorescences with striking glossy white fragrant flowers.
Grow intermediate, moderately bright, constant moisture.

Encyclia alata - (Mexico) Robust plants that are easy to grow and bloom, produce many highly fragrant
1.5" brown and white flowers branched inflorescences. Easy! Grow warm-intermediate, moderately

Encyclia ceratistes - (Panama/MTF*)
Robust plants that are easy to grow and bloom, produce many 1" green and white
flowers with fuchsia marked lips on branched inflorescences. Easy! Grow warm-intermediate, moderately
bright.
Encyclia cordigera (syn. atropurpurea) - (Panama/MTF*) Wonderful species with richly fragrant
purple flowers with pink lips held on strong upright inflorescences. We have bloomed out several
unique color variations.

Epidendrum chlorops (syn. clowesii alba) 'Woodstream' CBR,CHM,CCM/AOS - (Mexico) A must have
for the serious Epidendrum collector! Plants reach 20-24" with beautiful
clean foliage and multiple pendent clusters of two-tone green flowers,
with an almost blueish cast. Won a blue ribbon at the 1998 SEPOS Show.
Reblooms repeatedly from the same cane, 2-3 flushes per year (Fall-Spring).
Fragrant. Moderate-bright light, intermediate.
Epidendrum ciliare - (Panama/MTF*) Classic Epi with pseudobulbs. Likes
bright, intermediate conditions. Usually fall blooming, produces arching
sprays. of 2.5" frilly white flowers with a wonderful fragrance.
Grows quickly into a specimen and makes a great show plant. Easy to grow
and bloom. Limited.
Epidendrum falcatum - (Mexico) Rarely offered robust species with pendent terete leaves.
Produces clusters of very large white spider-like flowers with fine Gardenia-like fragrance. Related to Epi parkinsonianum. Suitable for mounting or basket culture. Limited.
Epidendrum melistagum 'Woodstream' CHM/AOS - (Mexico) Awarded
in June, 1999. These are excellent. Upright spherical heads of pure green
flowers on compact 6-12" growths (see Photo Gallery). Fragrant. Makes a greeat livining hummingbird feeder!Bright
light, intermediate. Rare in collections. Quite showy.
Epidendrum nocturnum - (Mexico to South America). Bloom sequentially from old growth. 2-3 inch fragrant blooms are creamy white-green with attractive narrow segments. Very Easy! Grows well potted or mounted. Moderately bright to bright light, intermediate. Limited.
Epidendrum parkinsonianum - (Mexico). Wonderful large-growing unique species
with long succulent pendent growths which give rise to 2-3 large 3-4" white fragrant flowers.
This species won the prestigious Fragrance Competition at the 1997 New York International
Orchid Show. Grow intermediate, moderately bright light.
Epidendrum rousseauae - (Panama/MTF*) Charming miniature Epi with pseudobulbs
produces 6-8" arching inflorescences bearing 7-10 white or green
1-2 cm star-shaped blooms. Relatively rare, but easy to grow and bloom.
Moderate light. Limited.
Gongora armeniaca - (Panama) Very
compact plant produces 10-12" inflorescences with 6-10 brown flowers with
white lips and unusual winged ovaries. Easy! Grow warm, moderate-moderately bright.
Gongora gratulabunda - (Colombia) Pendent spikes of highly fragrant golden-orange wasp-like flowers spotted with red
Easy! Grow warm, Moderate-moderately bright, evenly moist.
Gongora horichiana - (Panama) Our
favorite Gongora. Less than half the size of most species, these bloom
in 3" pots with dangling spikes of tan wasp-like flowers with contrasting
orange lip. Easy! Grow warm, moderate-moderately bright, evenly moist.
Gongora scaphyphorus - (Colombia) Long, long chains oftan flowers heavily marked with red. One of the nicest of the genus.
Horichia dressleri - (Panama) Interesting
Stanhopea relative. Grow intermediate, moderately bright, evenly moist.
Houlettia tigrina - (Panama) Another
interesting Stanhopea relative. Unusual pendent orangish flowers have
red-brown spots and stripes. Grow warm, moderately bright, evenly moist.
Lycaste leucantha - (Panama/MTF*) Wonderful small-growing
species with highly fragrant green blooms. Very rare in cultivation. Very limited!
Grow moderately bright, intermediate-cool.
Lycaste macrophylla var. panamensis - (Panama/MTF*) Another of our favorites! Easy to grow and bloom. Grow rapidly into beautiful specimens that flower numerous times throughout the year. The Panamanian form offered has brown sepals, offset by cream-white petals and lip.
Lycaste macrophylla var. santafensis - (Panama/MTF*) A rare variety
with flowers tending from light brown to green, with white petals and lip. Easy to grow and bloom.
Grow rapidly into beautiful specimens that flower numerous times throughout the year. The
key feature of this variety is its unusal pleasant fragrance! Never offered before! Very limited.
Maxillaria endresii - (Panama) Fragrant. Yellow flowers, yellow lip with purple lines.
Dr. John Atwood of Selby Gardens claimed this species had the finest fragrance of
any orchid he knew (and he has known quite a few)!! Grow warm, moderate-moderately bright, evenly moist.
Very rare! Very limited.
Maxillaria variabilis - (Panama) Popular fragrant compact spcies with small yellow or red flowers.
Very easy to grow and bloom. Grow intermediate, with moderate light, evenly moist.
Mormodes skinneri - (Panama) Beautiful, wild and rare species with gold blooms
striped with cinnamon. Lip pale yellow with red. Grow warm-intermediate, with moderately bright-bright light,
with a pronounced dry period once the bulb is mature, as for Catasetum.
Oerstedella pumilla - (Panama) Plants
reach 12" height and bloom frequently with fragrant green-white flowers.
Grow cool-intermediate, with moderately bright light, evenly moist.
Oncidium cheirophorum - (Panama) Always
a favorite! One of the parents of Mltdm. Pupukea Sunset. Tiny plants produce
showy branched inflorescences of clear yellow blooms. Easy! Grow intermediate,
with moderate light.
Osmoglossum pulchellum (Mexico) - Easy and rewarding compact species with arching inflorescences bearing fragrant white flowers. Moderately bright, intermediate.
Pleurothallis grobyi - (Panama) Cute miniature with short racemes of fragrant cream-colored fragrant
blooms. Very poular, very easy.
Stanhopea costaricensis - (Panama)
Very large short-lived fragrant blooms on a pendent inflorescence. Grow
warm-intermediate, with moderately bright light, evenly moist.
Stanhopea panamensis - (Panama) Large short-lived fragrant blooms on a pendent inflorescence. Fairly compact plant. Grow warm-intermediate, with moderately bright light, evenly moist.
